Weimar - Germany, 2020
Intervention in public space, Concrete
Dimensions variable, in the average 11x10x7cm
Home-town to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Friedrich Schiller, Weimar appears to be enchanted (one could say haunted) in its glorious deeds. In the perpetual attempt of staging a past long gone, the present becomes itself intangible, vessel of a culturally sterile narration which only product are streams of tourists walking the steps of the great poets.
Aim of the intervention was to disrupt this monumental narrative with the distribution of a hundred numbered and signed pieces of shit made of concrete, distinctive material of that same Bauhaus that, born in Weimar, had to flee to Dessau because of its hostile population.
